WebObjects Development Course
Our current syllabus follows a hands-on approach and focuses on modern WebObjects development practices using Eclipse and WOLips. We will help students get setup with the tools and guide them through a series of labs. The first two days of this five-day course will provide an overview of WebObjects aimed towards novice WebObjects developers though it will also be a good refresher for experienced ones. The last three days of training will be devoted to advanced topics focusing on the deeper details of WebObjects and EOF. Topics may include, but are not limited to:
- WebObjects Deployment
- EOF Faulting
- Editing Context Locking
- Database Locking
- Batch Fetching
- Request-Response Loop
- Snapshots
- Performance Enhancements and Best Practices
Course Description: Real-world training in creating and deploying enterprise WebObjects applications
Course Goal: Enable students to write a fully-functional WebObjects application
Prerequisites: 3-5 months of Java programming, familiarity with databases and HTML beneficial
